#WEEK 6/ Translator/ "Exploring Tasks with Digitals for Fostering Transversal Competencies."

-COMPETENCY: It is a word used for the obvious qualities and abilities which are needed for improving the efficiency or performance of a job.

It is different from the skill. The skill is learned abilities while the competency is a knowledge and behaviours that a person has.


-DIGITAL COMPETENCY: It is the ability and knowledge that helps a person use the digital technology effectively.


-COMMUNICATION: It is the act of exchanging information and improving a meaning among groups by speaking, writing or using some signs and symbols. In this task, we dealt with communication in mother tongue and communication in foreign language.


-CULTURAL AWARENESS: It is a person's understanding and recognizing of similarities and differences that exist between two cultures. Having this awareness broadens the horizon and improves the perspective on life.


-BLOOM TAXONOMY: Bloom's Taxonomy which helps us to define key objectives of this task is a hierarchical sequence of important steps in the learning process.


Regarding the weaknesses presented on the topic, it was hard to understand what exactly we have to do and decide on the competencies, activities we will use. It was hard and took a long time because we also had to make an adaptation according to the level of the students.

However, we understood what we had to do by sharing our thoughts and helping each other. We saved time by distributing the roles and completed the task successfully.

Regarding the task we did this week, i can say that this task was very fun and at the same time very useful for us. This task was intended for creating activity for the students. We explored various tools for creating enjoyable and effective activities for the students and learned how to use them effectively. Aside from learning about the tools, we tried to be creative and to combine four different activities to create a complex activity by sharing ideas with each other. Furthermore, yes we learned about various tools we can use for the students in the future by doing the activity but also, during the presentation stage of this activity, while listening to the presentations of other teams, we also discovered the various tools they used for the activity. For example, I really liked the tool of Las Definitivas called " Quandary". All these tools will be very useful when thinking about activity for students in the future.
