#WEEK 6/ Facilitator/ "Exploring Tasks with Digitals for Fostering Transversal Competencies

"Hello, I'm Angela and this week I'm in charge of the facilitator role."

I’m Angela and this week for this task I was also in charge of the role of the facilitator. In order to accomplish this role, I tried to facilitate the group work, giving some ideas, helping whenever it was necessary and trying to have everything done adequately.

It helped the fact that I was also the star, because as I was in charge of preparing the slides of the presentation and doing and learning the speech to present it, I was seeing all the information and the work that my teammates were doing, so could “control” everything. That’s why if I saw something that could be explained better, or that something wasn’t very clear, or if something was explained perfectly or a slide was very beautiful, I said it to my teammates trying to encourage them and trying to make clear that someone was noticing their good job.

What I’ve learned executing this role is that I tried to lead the group, but as I know I’m not especially good at leading, I know that I have to try harder to do it. Even though I tried preparing the meetings, talking about how the task should be executed, choosing the style of the Pecha Kucha, ...

Moreover, with my role I was also in charge of updating and taking care of the social media. That’s why I’ve been uploading Instagram stories and posts all this week, with all the information and with some examples of the activities presented to make it easier for our followers to understand what we were talking about. I also tried to do it as dynamic and visual as possible, using colours and music, because I feel like when I see something with just a lot of text, I find it boring or less interesting. And honestly, I’m proud of what I’ve done, as I really like taking care of this type of social media, even though to my actual account I don’t usually upload anything, so I can be creative here.
