#WEEK 2/ Analyst/"The TPACK-ACAD Speedlearning."


"I am Pilar and this week I was in charge of the role of analyst."




Regarding the task we had to do this week, I will mention that there were few challenging moments. To start with this specific task, we divided the 5 questions, splitting the first question in two main parts, TPACK and ACAD. All of us started working on our own question and then we read all of the answers together to check if we were sharing the same concepts. As for us, it was very important to transmit that we were able to understand both of the approaches. That was the hardest part, to interiorize the concept and describe them correctly.


In my opinion, the best part of the task was the communication we established in order to fulfill the activity. In addition, it was pretty amusing to find new tools and applications to use as resources of our task. Each one of us used Tik Tok, to make a creative video in which we explained the different concepts we have been working on.


The worst part of the work was making the activity in two days as there was a misunderstanding and we did the task before the time. Nevertheless, at the same time it became something positive as we had more time to reflect on it after the classes we had with the teacher. We all know the importance of reflection as a weapon that enables the teachers and students to become better and improve. We have been thinking that this part was harder, albeit is not true. The day of the presentation we had to change all the documents, from Prezi to Canva as we realized that a mind map was like a poster, a format in which the information must be together in one page.


We have learnt about the two approaches TPACK and ACAD, and about everything that encompasses the wide context that is essential in other to make the students learn in an easy and favorable way as well as in a proper environment. We also learnt how different context interacts between them at the same time. Furthermore, it was very instructive to know that the Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge is about the information that the teacher must know, in other words, the knowledge meanwhile Activity Centered Analysis Design is about how to apply the knowledge into the classroom in order to make your students learn easily.


As a group we need to learn how to be more efficient with time as it will help us to take benefit of it and not wasting it. Nevertheless, I think we are a group that works very well together as we are committed. We all are always in our best mood and even if we have differences or aren’t friends we are able to work as mature adults. We always try to help each other.


This content seems to be related with other subjects such as psychology of education or educational planning where you learn about important tools that help you to teach as well as the importance of different approaches. It was rather amazing seeing that the role of a teacher involves lot of different elements as well as a context that is influenced by many different factors.


TPACK and ACAD, are related to politics as the have a large context that is influenced by the decisions of the ministers of education as well as the minister of economics. Depending on the laws that are established it is going to be easier or harder to work in a specific approach as the context is modified by them.
