#WEEK 1/ Translator/"The curious conceptual images."

"I’m Angela and I’m in charge of the role of the Translator Role this week, so I’m going to bring up the five core terms related to this activity."

Three of the substantial issues that we have talked about are: teaching, learning and education; which concepts are the basis of our starting point for this activity.

• Teaching is a process that consists in helping or training learners to do particular things, acquiring knowledge, skills or virtues. As N.L.Gage quoted, ”Teaching is an interpersonal influence aimed at changing the behaviour potential of another person.”

• Learning involves a relatively permanent change in a person because of the acquisition of knowledge, experience or being taught.

• Education is the way out of ignorance, thus being able to make decisions and, borrowing the words of Nelson Mandela, “Education is the most powerful weapon to change the world.”

Another two substantial issues that we have been repeated and that we have need to do this activity are: creativity and social networks.

• Creativity is the use of our imagination and ideas to do something, and we use it all the time. In this activity, we had to use it to create pictures and representations of the words required.

• Social networks are different websites or applications which makes possible the interaction between users by different ways from posting images, information, or messages. It has been a main tool in this activity.

Regarding the weaknesses presented on the topic, what we have found more difficult has been the fact that we had to deal with a reduced amount of time to do the tasks at class, and that we had a member less, but finally we struggled and finished it on time. And we hope that in the next few weeks we will improve.

In relation to the methodology and the tools tackled in this task, we divided the activities that we had to do and we used the social networks to talk among ourselves and to post all the images and information regarding the activity.
